Aerotek Machine Operator in York, Pennsylvania

Description:

Seeking a experienced polishing machine operator to prep parts and operate various polishing machines and tools including files, grinders, disks, rotary sanders and abrasive wheels. We expect our polishers to work independently with as little supervision as possible to locate and gather materials and supplies needed, check material for correctness and quality. Polisher should be able to remove bumps/indentations in the metal parts without stretching or cutting through the finished piece with care to maintain contours, edges, and dimensions.

SHIFT: Monday - Friday 5:30am-4pm - OT will start to build up later into the summer months, should expect longer days.

Additional but not Required Skills:

• Able to work in repetitive movements, requiring good dexterity and hand - eye coordination.

• Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day and lift at least 50 pounds within a non-temperature-controlled environment.

• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respirator helmet when working.

• Willing to work overtime.
