About the Role

The Junior Sales Development Representative (Junior SDR) will report to our Marketing Manager – UK&I and will be part of the International Product Marketing team, with exposure to both marketing and sales providing a great grounding for a variety of future career directions.

The successful candidate will be taking part in supporting RLDatix to grow its customer base in the UK. The Junior SDR is the first touchpoint for potential customers, so making a good impression is paramount. You will be responsible for telephoning potential customers that would like to know more about our solutions by proactively contacting them, following up on inquiries, marketing engagements or requests for information and then securing meetings or attendance at sessions where they can learn more.

A successful Junior SDR should be comfortable spending time building relationships and interacting with potential clients over the telephone, via email, or in person. They also need to be able to effectively communicate the value RLDatix offers. They will be motivated, focused and measured on booking meetings for account managers and others.

This role would suit someone with a business, communications or marketing educational background who is interested in a career in marketing and being part of a dynamic team within a fast-growing global technology company.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Proactively follow up Marketing campaigns and Marketing leads by calling prospects and customers to book meetings for Account Managers, securing marketing qualified leads (MQLs).

  • Explaining the high-level features and benefits of products or services to potential customers to secure meetings with the account managers within the business.

  • Meet appointment-setting targets and service level agreements.

  • Researching potential markets for products or services offered by the company.

  • Develop maps of buyers and other stakeholders in an account, and plan activity to contact them for meetings.

  • Build and grow the Marketing Originated Pipeline of activity, converting this pipeline to Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).

  • Ensure the CRM is up to date with current details. Feedback learning and market sentiment to marketing campaign teams.

  • Be confident in sharing learning and market sentiment with the Marketing Campaign Team.

  • Provide accurate documentation and notes for Account Managers supporting their preparations for meetings booked by the Solutions Engagement Representative team.

The role requires an individual with a business, communication, or marketing educational background or experience.

Ideally, we would like to have a talent that meets most of the following:

  • Experience in lead development generation would be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills – the ability to communicate eloquently in both written and verbal formats, both face-to-face and remotely.

  • Relationship builder and able to nurture relationships over the telephone, social media and email.

  • Problem solver: keen to understand whom to speak to and how to interest them, happy using multiple sources of information to get the right result.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Self-starter who will be motivated to overachieve targets and able to maintain focus on completing the appropriate number of tasks each day.

  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.

  • Interested in technology and healthcare, with training, you should feel confident talking about technology in the context of the UK healthcare market.
