POSITION PROFILE

The Custom Product Designer is responsible for creating layouts on C.A.D. models of components and assemblies.

Required Skills

  • Technical degree or technical diploma plus one (1) year working experience

  • Must haveminimum three (3) years Pro Engineer experience and/or Solidworks

  • Working knowledge of ANSI standards

  • Mechanical aptitude, commitment to quality

  • Knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends

Required Experience

  • Layout and create detail drawings of components

  • Resolve product design issues based on manufacturing constraints

  • Ability to work with both metric and imperial measurements

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently

  • Review Bill of Materials for errors

  • Become an active participant and contributor to the continuous improvements process at Knoll

  • Follow Knoll’s safety expectations, maintain a clean and safe working environment
