KnollStudio is a prominent division of Knoll, a global office furnishings manufacturer committed to design excellence. The KnollStudio sales force is recognized for representing furniture innovation and classic modern furniture design to the Architecture and Design Community, the network of Knoll dealers, the Knoll Space retailers, as well as end users within their territory. This employee is expected to achieve the annual sales objective for the assigned territory by educating and securing specifications for day to day business, as well as project business, with each of these important sectors. The responsibilities of this position include:
Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts that purchase and/or specify furniture products
Drive sales through product knowledge and familiarity with Knoll's design heritage and company's reputation of innovative products
Research and develop opportunities from lead sources within territory
Develop and execute successful sales presentations
Successfully manage and overcome customer objections
Successfully manage field service operations pursuant to territory
Enter and maintain all customer interaction in salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead management and forecasting
Maintain an appropriate level of sales activity at all times by conducting a minimum number of sales appointments per week as designated by manager
Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales
Exhibits a work style that is high energy, highly influential, and possesses an ability to effectively close sales opportunities
Strong interpersonal communication
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, managers, outside and internal contacts
Ability to work with sales reps from the other Knoll divisions, and be a contributor to the established team in the territory
Positive and energetic personality
Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with the highest level of integrity
Able to meet and develop a customer relationship from a simple project lead or introduction via team member or other lead source
Requires three to five years selling experience in territory
Proven track record achieving measurable sales goals and willing to accept responsibility for results
