Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Administrative Assistant 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Software organization in San Diego, California.

Accomplish

The Strike Software administrative assistant provides proactive support to the Strike Software Center Director and Strike Software organization (550+ engineers).

Responsibilities include:

  • Handling details of a highly confidential and critical nature.

  • Collecting and preparing information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals.

  • Preparing presentation materials for leadership meetings.

  • Making high level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company.

  • Scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating meeting(s) & resolve scheduling conflicts for the Strike Software Center Director and direct reports.

  • Schedule business travel & submit expense reports.

  • Provide on-site assistance to software organization at one of the Northrop Grumman facilities.

  • Track, manage & follow-up on mandatory training for the software organization.

  • Coordinate and execute employee engagement activities.

  • Operating independently to meet requirements of leadership team and offering expertise to assist other functions within organization.

  • Assisting events and activities of major organization initiatives.

  • Report generation and compilation.

  • Proactive support in executing day-to-day pop-up related items that facilitate the ability to meet business requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field or Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field.

  • Prior experience as an assistant to a manager, executive and/or professional office

  • Experience with Microsoft office products, such as Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance (Secret)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to understand business objectives, priorities.

  • Ability to anticipate and be proactive.

  • Understand the sensitive nature of working in the executive office and have good judgement, problem solving skills and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.

  • Self starter; driven & excited and motivated to support the organization.

  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Experience participating and hosting in-person and remote video teleconference meetings (such as Zoom, Skype, MS Teams).

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with proofreading and correcting documents for grammatical errors.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple administrative projects and initiatives.

  • Experience with preparing expense reports.

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree.

  • Current DoD Clearance (Top Secret) .

Salary Range: $63,800 - $106,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
