Robert Half has partnered with a Manufacturing firm located in the Rosemont/O’Hare area and has an immediate need for a Customs/Logistics Coordinator. This a hybrid position and working hours are 8-4. Client offers an excellent benefit package, great work life balance and annual bonus.

Job duties

• HTS classification of shipments

• Assist Compliance Manager with researching new shipment inquiries for AD/Section 232 applicability

• Assist with Sanctions and Forced Labor Compliance

• Assist with Customs Compliance auditing

• Distribute ACH statements

• Reconcile ACH debit

• Assist with Export Compliance

• Reconcile entry numbers to internal database and review missing entry report

• Create/ maintain logistics insurance database for trucking COI

• Create/ maintain warehouse database

• Generate and modify (research new/ unused datapoints) ACE reports

• Assist with TSCA and PFAS compliance

• Customs/ Compliance Training

• Maintain classification records for audit/ archival purposes

• Provide rail quotes and railcar tracing

• Manage KPI for brokers (follow up on errors etc.) and imports

• Assist with policy manual maintenance

• Supplemental duty payment verification

• Assist with maintaining mills in ERP system

• Assist Compliance Manager with data gathering for governmental questionnaires

• Other duties as assigned/ develop

  Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in the import and compliance department. Experience with customs clearance and shipping documentation

• Proficient Excel skills

• Customs/ compliance/ logistics knowledge a plus

• Import/Export experience
