The Cigna Group Senior Marketing Manager - Evernorth Care Group - Scottsdale/Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona
The Senior Marketing Manager - will support the Evernorth Care Group business segment based in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role sits on the senior leadership team for the medical group providing strategic marketing support with a focus on patient acquisition and retention and in building awareness of the ENCG brand and services. The senior marketing manager will take a leadership role in developing and executing against the marketing plan, including website optimization, market conditioning, and B2C communications, aligned to the overarching business strategy. In addition, this individual will support ongoing marketing optimizations around key enterprise initiatives and local community activations. Reporting to the Managing Director, this matrix role has a dotted line reporting to the Chief Integration and Transformation Officer of Evernorth Care Group.
Key responsibilities include: developing annual marketing plans, budgets, and strategies, and tactics providing guidance to improve market penetrance, generating differentiated positioning and value propositions, managing competitor/patient/provider insights t, cultivating relationships with in-market health plan leadership, plan client employers, and brokers/field sales representatives, and oversight of the execution of all marketing plans. This role will partner with business leaders on forecasting and KPI management, and work with Evernorth Care Group functional partners and external agency partners to design and execute campaigns.
A successful candidate for this role will have experience creating and optimizing multi-channel marketing plans. Significant marketing strategy, direct-to-consumer marketing, and multi-channel marketing experience is needed. Experience working in a dynamic, evolving environment with multiple cross-functional partners will be required. Finally, experience in the healthcare/insurance industry is desired. The ideal candidate will be based Phoenix, Arizona) with expected site visits to our local healthcare centers and other business travel as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with senior leaders to provide the strategic direction for all marketing initiatives, specifically focused on patient acquisition, patient retention, patient engagement, and growth goals aligned to business objectives.
Develop and evolve brand positioning, strengthen market conditioning, and highlight differentiation and proof points that align with corporate marketing guidance and brand platforms while considering ways to leverage the Evernorth brand in market.
Develop and maintain effective marketing strategies to enhance the Evernorth Care Group NPS score and maintain a positive digital patient experience.
Manage a team where all are continually learning, evolving, and encouraged to think outside the box.
Consistently collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to local market clients (E.g. Cigna Commercial and other payors), internal agency partners and other matrix partners to foster, facilitate and deliver maximum results that are on strategy, on time, and within budget.
Share emerging trends, while monitoring the external environment & competitive position of the brand.
In partnership with the business, manage marketing budget, including monthly billing and accrual review.
Support branding at clinical practice sites through the development of signage and placement plans (interior and exterior)
Manage and optimize website design and content and leverage social media platforms to highlight Care Group sites, providers, and events
Optimize budgetary funding impact via effective marketing tactics
Allocate and manage internal/external resources for maximum benefit.
Ability to influence in a matrixed environment and present decisive recommendations.
Oversee creation of sales materials and patient collateral, and leverage both traditional and modern marketing techniques.
Reporting Relationship
Reports directly to the Managing Director of Evernorth Marketing Health Services
Dotted line to the Chief Integration and Transformation Officer of Evernorth Care Group
Leads a total organization of 2--3 direct reports
Ideal Candidates Will Offer
Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or Master’s Degree a plus
7-10+ years of relevant, strategic experience, including 3-5+ years of people management
Experience managing external creative agencies
Experience in developing and executing against marketing plans
Experience with marketing analytic and testing methodologies
Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Analytics preferred
Experience in balancing strategy within operational parameters
Experience working in a fast-based, metric driven environment
Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
Must balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines
Proven ability to lead in a heavily matrixed environment
Ability to foster collaboration and value others perspectives and gain support and buy-in from senior leadership
Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presence
Excellent attention to detail
Healthcare industry experience a plus
Ability to travel locally to our centers for business purposes (less than 20%) in the greater Phoenix/Scottsdale area
Ability to work onsite (60%) and remotely (40%) as this is considered a hybrid role
