ERT Procurement Category Manager, IT in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R14594 As the IT Category Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for all IT-related categories within the organization. You will play a critical role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality across all IT purchases. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with the company's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT categories, including software licenses, hardware, cloud services, and IT infrastructure. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and benchmark prices to optimize purchasing decisions. Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, service levels, and delivery schedules. Manage supplier relationships to ensure adherence to contractual agreements, resolve any issues or disputes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and legal, to evaluate and select vendors based on business requirements, technical specifications, and budget constraints. Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Monitor procurement performance metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and contract compliance, and report on key performance indicators to senior management. Stay informed about emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory changes that may impact IT procurement strategies and recommend adjustments as needed. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the procurement team. Support strategic initiatives, such as vendor consolidation, supplier diversity programs, and sustainability efforts, to drive long-term value and innovation across the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years of specialized experience in IT procurement within the software industry. Proven track record of successfully managing IT procurement projects from initiation to execution, delivering measurable cost savings and value-added benefits. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and contract management. Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and regulatory requirements related to IT procurement. Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as eSourcing, contract management, and spend analysis platforms. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex procurement challenges.
