The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) organization has a mission to create marketplace demand and drive commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative products, partnerships, marketing, and customer experiences.

OnBrand is American Express’ In-House Creative agency, on journey for an exciting expansion. Our ambition is “Become creative partn­­­er-of-choice to build seamless customer experiences for our Business Units, essential for driving results and unlocking value through deeper knowledge of our business powered by industry-defining creative excellence”. We are focused on developing forward-thinking ideas and work across channels, end-to-end experiences in digital and beyond.

As a Motion Graphics Designer, you will create original and highly engaging animated content on an everyday basis for our clients. You will be responsible for trend spotting, ideation, creative development, and production of motion graphics on a variety of projects. The ideal candidate has an appetite for learning, is highly motivated, collaborative and knows how to quickly action and pivot as projects evolve.

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Concepting, designing and animating content for a variety of digital media and platforms.

  • Working closely with account managers, project managers, designers, developers and other creatives to bring concepts to life through motion.

  • Creating content that is on-brand, on-strategy, leverages current platform trends and is true to a brands style, voice and aesthetics.

  • Actively attend team and client meetings and feel comfortable presenting your work.

  • Keep up with the latest trends and find relevant ways for the brand to participate in or leverage them through animated content.

  • Being available to commute for productions if needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 years of motion design experience working within a creative environment, such as an agency, in-house creative team or production studio

  • Ability to understand marketing insights and strategies to translate into compelling motion content.

  • Ability to combine conceptual thinking with high-quality creative content delivery

  • Passionate about social media platforms, trends, technology and best practices

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, workflows and platforms.

  • Experience with illustration and 2D character animation a huge plus.

  • Experience in creating animated content for web with Lottie or Rive a plus

  • Experience with 3D software and workflows a plus

Qualifications

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
