The Portfolio Management Group is looking for a new member to join a talented and collaborative organization. The team manages a global corporate lending portfolio as part of the Fixed Income Division. The candidate will focus on a variety of responsibilities, including: managing a portfolio of corporate loans and credit derivatives; participating in the life cycle of corporate lending; trade strategy/execution for various credit products; clear communication and reporting across different divisions of the integrated bank.

The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader in energy, metals, and agricultural product trading worldwide whose professional’s trade in both physical and derivative commodity risk.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Manage a global portfolio of corporate loans and credit derivatives

· Evaluate capital structures and relative value

· Analyze and execute trading strategies

· Valuation of the portfolio and new lending opportunities

· Engage in secondary loan lifecycle with partners, including: Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Credit, Risk Management, Operations, Finance

· Calculation and reporting portfolio PnL

· Report and affirm a variety of portfolio risk metrics and scenario analysis

· Drive innovation across processes and workflows improving efficiency and productivity

Qualifications - External

· The ideal candidate has experience with Credit Products including loans and credit derivatives

· Understands valuation, risk, and credit product cashflows

· Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Team player with an attitude of collaboration and success

· Detail-oriented and organized; ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders

· Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

· Minimum 3 years experience working with Credit products

· Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year for Associate at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
