Description We are searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented General Office Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. The role involves managing office functions in a dynamic environment, maintaining superior customer service, and ensuring effective operations and procedures. This role offers a contract employment opportunity and is well-suited for someone with a background in providing office services within large corporate environments.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and maintaining accurate customer credit applications and records

• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and efficient manner

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Utilizing logs for all office services work and ensuring that job tickets are properly filled out before beginning work

• Performing work in office services primarily reprographics mail and intake functions according to established procedures

• Communicating with supervisors or clients on job or deadline issues and meeting contracted deadlines for accepting, completing, and delivering all work

• Prioritizing workflow and performing Quality Assurance on own and work of others

• Loading machines with various paper toner supplies and placing service calls when needed

• Interacting with clients in person, over the phone, or electronically while adhering to company policies

• Troubleshooting basic equipment problems and handling sensitive and/or confidential documents and information. Requirements • Proficiency in customer service and communication skills

• Familiarity with office functions and operations

• Understanding of procedures and policies

• Experience in answering inbound calls

• Ability to supervise and manage tasks

• Knowledge of workstation support and troubleshooting

• Experience in hiring processes

• Proficiency in scanning and digitizing documents

• Experience in receptionist duties

• Familiarity with facility management and maintaining logs

• Understanding of machinery operations, particularly related to office equipment

• Experience in quality assurance practices

• Ability to distribute faxes and handle service calls

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary

• Strong phone presence and communication skills

• Knowledge in digital office tools and software

• Understanding of document scanning processes

• Ability to maintain logs and records.
