Citi’s Risk Management organization oversees Citi’s risk governance framework and risk appetite, ensures all risks generated by the firm’s businesses are measured, reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basis.

We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, GRR Data Engineering Officer - Hybrid. (Internal Job Title: Vice President - C13) based in Mumbai - India . In this role, you’re expected to:

Global Risk Review (GRR) provides independent, objective, reliable, valued, and timely assurance to the Board of Directors and Committees of Citigroup and Citibank, NA, to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer, the Citigroup Chief Credit Officer, senior management and regulators as to the effectiveness of credit and collateral risk management and the ability of the Business and Independent Risk Management to identify, monitor, mitigate and control current and emerging risks.

Within GRR, the GRR Analytics team is responsible for developing a structured framework and strategy to support and complement Credit Review activities through analytical insights. The primary objective of this framework and execution strategy is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of various credit review processes using both standardized and customized analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, enhances, and validates the methods of measuring and analyzing risk, for all risk types including market, credit and operational.

  • Produces analytics and reporting used to manage risk for Citi's operations.

  • Translates operational requests from the business into programming and data criteria and conduct systems and operational research in order to model expected results.

  • Assists in the development of analytic engines for business product lines.

  • Communicates results to diverse audiences.

  • Conducts analysis and packages it into detailed technical documentation report for validation purposes sufficient to meet regulatory guidelines and exceed industry standards.

  • Participates on teams to solve business problems.

  • Represents the bank in interactions with regulatory agencies, as required.

  • Provides guidance to junior validators as and when necessary.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience

  • Experience using Tableau software to build and test dashboards and interfacing with business clients. proficiency handling reporting timelines and accuracy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time

  • Practical experience using SAS or similar statistical coding software to build and test prediction models. comfortable interfacing with business clients. proficiency handling very large data sets.

  • Experience in a quantitative role in risk management at a financial institution with experience in either model development or validation

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
