Job Title: Specialty Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA Veterinary Emergency Service & Veterinary Specialty Center is seeking a talented Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team and take on a leadership role as a Specialty Technician Supervisor , offering a unique opportunity for personal growth and development.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, Monday – Friday 8am- 5pm.

In the   Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor Role your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:  

• Directing workflow on the floor

• Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture

• Help with the interview process for potential new hires

• Technician Scheduling

• Assists in staffing and coverage where needed

• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills

• Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training

• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience

• Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

• Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital

• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience 

• Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner

You will work alongside our Medical Director, Hospital Director, Emergency Supervisor, and Technician Trainer and Development Coordinator to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently, and foster a winning environment.

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT

• 5+ years of Specialty or Emergency experience

• Team leadership experience

• Passion for Veterinary Medicine

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
