UCLA Health Staff Research Associate I - Neurology in Los Angeles, California
Description
The Staff Research Associate I will collaborate with the Principal
Investigator, MD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology, as a
Researcher on the forefront of transformative discoveries. We're in search of
dynamic and driven individuals passionate about unraveling the mysteries of
infiltrating glioblastoma cells through cutting-edge imaging and molecular
biology techniques. As a Researcher, you'll play a pivotal role in driving
progress. Join us in the design and execution of vital laboratory experiments,
with a focus on human glioblastoma tissue. You will contribute to a range of
tasks, from immunohistochemistry to nuclear isolation and the cultivation of
surgical specimens. You will oversee the careful maintenance of essential
reagents and the management of data generated by these experiments. You
will be an essential part of a journey that reshapes our understanding of
glioblastoma, with the potential to leave an indelible mark on the field of
neurosurgery.
*This is a full-time, 9 month limited position that may convert to career.
Salary Range: $25.75 - $30.71/hour
Qualifications
Required:
General working knowledge of molecular biology, molecular genetics, neuroscience
Culturing experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to follow precedents and procedures, set priorities, and organizes work within general guidelines
Preferred:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in related field
