Role Description

At Respond.io (http://respond.io/), the HR department is pivotal to our company's success. Like other departments, this team is crucial in partnering with the business to build a people-centric organization. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as the primary point of contact for employees and to work collaboratively with others. Your role will focus on handling employee and office related queries, overseeing employee onboarding and offboarding, and address employee grievances.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of human resources management, including processing employee leave requests, responding promptly to HR inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of employee data in our HR Information System (HRIS).

  • Conduct orientations and facilitate comprehensive onboarding programs that acclimate new hires to the company culture, ensuring they feel welcomed and well-informed from their very first day.

  • Manage compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Maintain diligent records, prepare employment contracts, and handle sensitive documentation with utmost confidentiality and precision.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for government entities regarding employee-related matters, such as visa applications, immigration and labor department interactions, ensuring all processes are handled efficiently and in compliance with legal standards.

  • Design and implement programs that actively engage employees, including regular surveys, recognition programs, and team-building activities aimed at boosting morale and job satisfaction.

  • Manage office resources to create an organized, functional work environment. Oversee supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships to ensure operational needs are met.

  • Lead key HR projects, from conceptualization through to execution, aligning with strategic goals and ensuring timely, effective outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in handling similar task or in general people operations

  • Proven ability to excel well as an individual contributor in similar role scope

  • Experienced with government body & statutory matters (LHDN, PERKESO, MDEC, JTK, Immigration, HRD Corp etc.)

  • Adaptability and Resilience: Demonstrates the ability to quickly adjust to changes and challenges in a dynamic environment, maintaining composure and a strategic focus under pressure.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibits strong analytical capabilities combined with the ability to diagnose and efficiently solve problems using innovative solutions, ensuring operational effectiveness.

  • Decision-Making and Integrity: Makes informed, ethical decisions that balance the needs of various stakeholders, while managing sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences and facilitating open dialogue, while building and maintaining positive relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Attention to Detail and Organizational Proficiency: Meticulous in managing details with exceptional ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring precision and effectiveness in execution.
