Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Jessup, Maryland

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in JESSUP, Maryland. This role will involve managing our accounts receivable process, including processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and handling customer inquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain precise customer credit records to ensure all information is up-to-date

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary action to collect delinquent payments

• Assemble invoices and support documents for collection via credit card application

• Maintain a database of paid and pending invoices

• Research discrepancies in invoices and resolve them efficiently

• Contact customers regarding collections and invoice information

• Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment

• Perform daily cash management duties, including recording bank deposits, updating and distributing cash receipt logs, and posting cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger

• Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail

• Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to accounts receivable to provide insight into the progress of collection efforts.

Note: This role requires proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR), Collections, Major ERP System, Excel Formulas, and Cash Posting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience with Collections

• Familiarity with major ERP systems

• Proficient in Excel Formulas

• Experience in Cash Posting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Good organizational and time management skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
