Leidos Dynetics is seeking a talented Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) Machinist - Wire/Plunge to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Primary Responsibilities

The Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) Machinist - Wire/Plunge must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts. Ideal candidate should also have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes, but with a focus on Wire and Plunge EDM. Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is a plus. Ability to manually setup and build needed fixturing a plus for this position. Applicant must be able to work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

• Candidates must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.

• Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.

• Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 4-days per week 10-hours per shift, 1st shift.

• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 axis machining experience with Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls and MAPS programming

• Machining experience such as Manual and/or CNC lathes or Mills is a plus.

• (2) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool

• Onscreen programming using M Code or G Code a plus.

• Experience machining in a high precision Aerospace environment.

• Accutex or Mitsubishi wire EDM experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
