TEKsystems OCM (Organizational Change Manager) in Houston, Texas
One of our large Oil & Gas clients is seeking an OCM resource to support their Commercial-Marketing business unit on a Logicstics program. This is a Logistics Transparency Program that is updating their Commercial Logistics applications. This OCM is being brought on to get the stakeholders and business users comfortable with their new digital platforms, and to prepare the business for the changes that result from the project. The end users for these platforms will be mostly Commercial Schedulers and some people from Commercial Marine. Stakeholders will include both Commercial/marketing and Midstream business units (naturally, because logistics impacts both of these groups).
Responsibilities:
Must take ownership and fill in the “gray”; there will be gaps that we need help identifying and filling
Standard OCM roles of Communications/Stakeholder engagements, Quick Reference Guides, etc.
Develop communications to keep individuals impacted by the change appraised of key project-related information
Assist with training development efforts (create videos, supplemental materials - quick reference guides, job aids, exercises, tests, knowledge checks, concept slides/deck, etc.)
Assess and manage risks based on adoption of change
Support the Change Management Strategy and recommend ways to improve the strategy, as needed
Collaborate and provide support to the project team, as needed
Requirements:
5-10 years of relevant experience as an Orgazational Change Manager
Experience driving change within an organization
Experience with software implementation projects
Experience developing and conducting training materials
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong collaboration skills, building an environment of trust, and seeking different perspectives
Bachelor's degree in Business, Software, or equivalent
Not required, but huge bonus:
Oil & gas or energy industry background
Experience working on marketing, commercial, or logistics projects (especially with oil & gas or manufacturing companies)
Experience working on software implementation and upgrade projects
