Shift : Mon thru Friday

Location: AdventHealth Hendersonville 100 Hospital Drive Hendersonville NC 28792

The role you’ll contribute: Provide direct care as part of a multidisciplinary team within Cardiology Services. This includes Stress testing, EKG’s, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabliltaion classes. Must have ability to communicate with Physcians about changes in the patient’s clinical status.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Administers nursing care for patients in the Cardiology Services Department.

  • Manages and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Support clinical and fiscal goals of the department.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in the nursing process.

  • Assesses the patient’s physical and mental health, including the patient’s reaction to treatments or illness.

  • Implements the treatment regime prescribed by the medical doctor.

  • Teaches and counsels patients and their families in rehabilitation following Cardiac and or Pulmonary disease.

  • Coordinates with Cardiopulmonary rehab staff in conducting of rehab classes. This includes maintain proper patient documentation including paper and electronic records. Continual assessment/ progression of the patient and involvement of the medical director as required.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Current North Carolina Registered Nurse License required

  • Current BLS and ACLS required

  • Proficient in the interpretation of EKG’s preferred

  • Proficient in IV starts and therapy preferred

  • Previous Cardiac Rehab experience preferred

  • Previous Pulmonary Rehab experience preferred
