JOB REQUIREMENTS: Green Bay Drop Forge is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team! The primary responsibility of a Controls Engineer is the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment with programmable logic. This is achieved through the application of electronic theory, principals of electrical circuits, electrical testing procedures, engineering mathematics, physics, and related knowledge to layout, build, test, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Maintain PLC documentation upon receipt from equipment suppliers and an archive of PLC programs and machine controls drawings in an electronic and/or paper format and throughout facility. Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve automated equipment including devices, I/O, instruments, and all other components associate with automated processes to meet production and safety goals. Support various I/O devices connected to PLC\'s including HMI\'s, scanners, remote I/O, sensors, relays, solenoids, etc., and support/assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting pneumatic circuits. Improve equipment uptime and contribute to Plant reliability maintenance. Schedule and complete backups of all electronic machine control and robotic programs on set schedule and develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Programs. Diagnose problems with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical and electronic systems. Determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation. Implement and maintain data collection system from Plant floor processing equipment. Identify and implement error-proofing requirements throughout the production process. Part of multi-disciplinary PlantTeam to determine continuous improvement strategies. Identify and plan for process impact(s) as a result of engineering and launch changes. Participate in 8D or similar root-cause based problem solving tasks to ensure that abnormalities, when observed, are acted upon to resolve root-causes. Contribute to specifications for equipment purchases, which include review and commentary on equipment controls drawings prior to build approval. Support in the installation, commission and troubleshooting of automated equipment in all facilities. Follow all safety rules and procedures. Performs other duties as required. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Associates degree or 3+ years related Controls Engineering manufacturing experience. Experience using Allen Bradley\'s RS Logix 5, RS Logix 5000, ControLogix and Panelview development software. Qualifications: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience with JIT, Kaizen Events and/or other lean manufacturing strategies. Bi-lingual of English and Spanish preferred, but not required. Ability to analyze information and identify issues. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6am to 4pm with overtime as required on Fridays.
