Overview of this Position:

The Quality Engineer ensures the Facilities Engineering & Maintenance departments meet all established quality metrics. Drive completion of all department obligations through our document management system (Master Control) and the NCR, CAPA, and Change Control modules. Partner with Operations and Quality departments as an engineering resource devoted to completion of investigations and root cause analysis using sound problem-solving skills. Partner with engineers and technicians to make improvements in systems and practices. Write procedures, job aids, work instructions, and training programs and deliver to department staff to improve quality throughout department.

 

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or Quality Assurance.

3-5 years' experience working in a highly regulated environment.

Continuous improvement/Six Sigma training.

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

Pharmaceutical background preferred.

Greenbelt certification is a plus.

Experience in root cause analysis and/or forensic engineering.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Track, monitor, and execute Engineering & Maintenance quality commitments.

Serve as the primary point of contact within the department for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), non-conformance reports (NCR), and change controls.

Monitor department action items and ensure timely completion.

Work closely with Quality and department leaders to develop metrics, monitor department quality performance, and drive results.

Train engineers and technicians in quality-related topics and provide coaching to complete tasks correctly.

Review and approve completed eMaint work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for adherence to standard operating procedures, completeness and accuracy.
