SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Associate Provost of Instructional Support and Institutional Planning, the Director of Institutional Research and College Data Officer serves as the College's lead over data governance, institutional information, and data science and analytics. The Director provides institutional oversight of GRCC's data warehouse and official reporting, analytics for both internal and external stakeholders, and research, both qualitative and quantitative. This role serves as the College's primary steward of data and information, including assurance of reliability, validity, and security of institutional data and data collection and analysis. The Director will also assist with assessment and evaluation; help to identify information needs; and facilitate any necessary collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data and information. The Director will foster the education of information producers, users, and consumers and will be responsible for overseeing/supervising the work of staff in the Institutional Research unit. The Director will serve as the College's point of contact and clearinghouse for public data requests. The Director will also support the College's mission, vision, and strategic goals within an organizational culture that increasingly embraces data-informed decision-making at all levels, and furthers student access, equity, retention, completion, and success.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education Credentials

• Master's degree in any of the following areas: Statistics, Educational Research, Higher Education Administration with a specific focus or credential in Institutional Research, or a related social/behavioral or scientific/analytic field.

Work Experience

• Five years' prior experience in designing and conducting research, including database construction and utilization
