What we're looking for: Looking for experienced veterinary assistants to work in our Emergency and Critical Care departments.
Swing and Overnight Veterinary Assistant
You possess a strong interest in supporting veterinarians with Inducing patients, prepping patients, monitoring patients, and recovering patients. You also maintain situational awareness (able to prioritize), assist outside your primary duties (patient care regardless of department), and other task not mentioned here (as they relate to patient care and client service.
Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 ALL dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule and additional responsibilities. An additional $3.00/hr differential pay for qualified overnight hours.

The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
Treatment Plan (Estimate) preparation and presentation.
Client communication
Physical examinations and patient assessment
Anesthesia monitoring / Surgical preparation and assisting / Patient recovery
Radiology
Venipuncture / Catheter placement
Pharmacy
Processing in-house and outside lab samples
Experience with patient care and hourly treatments
Calculating and preparing medications (including boluses, transfusions and CRIs)
Restraining for exams and performing diagnostics
Clients communication (histories, discharges, demos, prescriptions)
Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
Team work advocate
Applicants should be/have:
At least 2 years experience in veterinary emergency
Able to work one weekend shift
Be able to communicate respectfully and compassionately
Receive and carryout instructions thoroughly, quickly and efficiently
Excellent multi-tasking skills in a busy environment
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Able to provide exceptional client service and patient care
Work collaboratively in a team
