Required Skills


The Wood CNC Programmer is responsible for building new CNC programs as well as optimizing an older generation of programs. The programmer will design tool files, build programs from 2D cad drawings, and improve programs efficiencies.

  • Make recommendations for continual process, cost and efficiency improvements.

  • Design programs for boring, routing, and edgebanding

  • Create programs for vertical and horizontal boring work centers, contour banding and boring operations, and automated boring lines

  • Participate in kaizen events to implement lean practices

  • Take feedback from operators to make programming improvements

  • Create programs utilizing WoodWop and Albatross

Required Skills

  • CNC experience with wood (preferred) or metal equipment

  • Experience with wood working equipment from Homag, Biesse, IMA a plus

  • Strong computer skills

  • Self-motivated and highly organized with strong time management skills

  • Ability to work in an often fast paced, hectic, and demanding environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills

Required Experience


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Wood CNC Router Programming Preferred

  • Wood CNC Operation Preferred


Associates Degree, Trade School, or Four years of Equivalent Experience
