Muuto, a division of Knoll, Inc, is an international design company that works with leading contemporary designers to deliver new perspectives on Scandinavian design across furniture, lighting and accessories. We are headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark with employees in 15 countries across the globe.

We are experiencing rapid growth and are therefore looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our North American Supply Chain Development. The position reports to our Supply Chain Director in Denmark.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Your core responsibility will be to develop the future structure of Muuto’s North American Supply Chain and Logistics footprint in North America to support the current and future needs of the business. Over time, this resource would be responsible for defining and hiring a team to support the future growth.

Key tasks involve

  • Identify, develop and implement new sources of supply to enhance domestic capabilities. This North American supply base and logistics structure will need to support our strategic performance objectives.

  • Effectively lead and/or support outsourcing projects from Muuto HQ, while collaborating with product development team and internal stakeholders

  • Drive and manage supplier relationships including leading negotiations, business reviews and material escalations

  • Evaluate supplier’s performance and initiate corrective actions when required.

  • Evaluate on logistic partners performance and initiate corrective actions when required.

  • Ensure best in class quality.

  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and initiatives.

  • Effectively communicate status of projects and commodity activities to key stakeholders

  • Preparation and presenting of monthly internal reporting metrics

  • Create and develop a procurement and logistics team to support the organization objectives

Required Experience

Your profile & competencies

  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience desired. High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 5 years or more procurement & logistics experience at leadership level

  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills

  • Excellent analytic skills, a proactive mind-set, and a structured approach

  • Result oriented with a get-it-done attitude.

  • Must be flexible to travel as needed

  • Proficient with standard industry tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
