This is a key leadership position within the Supply Chain organization at Knoll, Inc.

This position will require an experienced S&OP leader that is able to facilitate and drive results in a make-to-order business leveraging his/her strong interpersonal and leadership skills. This role will be challenged to continue the evolution to develop a world class Sales, and Operations Planning process across the enterprise to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns and working capital. This position will also take a leadership role in the design, blueprint, configuration, test and implementation of the Supply Chain Planning business processes as part of the Corporate ERP implementation project.



  • Lead the establishment and execution of S&OP processes for the North American Operations.

  • Coordinate all facets of the S&OP process to provide an optimum customer Service level and working capital performance as defined by the organization's business operating plans and strategic objectives.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume forecast (mid and long term); ensuring gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed, and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.

  • Work closely with other key functions, including Finance, Procurement, Customer Services, Marketing, Sales and Operations to ensure that the appropriate data is available and accurate to be reviewed at the S&OP process meetings.

  • Lead the S&OP management reviews and present critical issues, risks and opportunities and drive decision making for all key issues during executive review.

  • Support marketing/sales, supply chain, finance, PMO, and Operations teams on product life-cycle management initiatives (like development and commercialization of new products and SKU rationalization) and their link to S&OP processes.

Corporate ERP Implementation Project

  • Work with the Project Management Organization to develop the Supply Chain Planning workstream scope, resource requirements and schedule.

  • Apply planning, scheduling and forecasting knowledge to optimize the functionality of the new ERP system including best practices processes.

  • Provide leadership for design, documentation, configuration, testing and integration of the new system related to the Supply Chain Planning processes including, production planning and scheduling, demand forecasting, inventory and warehouse management, sales and operations planning.

  • Provide conversion and interface assistance to the technology team.

  • Lead the creation of test data, test scripts and user acceptance testing for the Supply Chain Planning functional areas.

Required Experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or related field required.

  • Minimum 6 years sales and operations planning, supply and demand balancing, operations management, production control, inventory management or master scheduling experience required.

  • Experience in the implementation of a formal Sales & Operations Planning process.

  • Experience using Oracle EBS Supply Chain Management applications (Inventory, MRP, ASCP) or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Degree

  • 5 - 6 years of Lean experience. Strong manufacturing and material flow experience

  • 10 years of Supply Chain experience

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or other professional designation
