Description:

Introduction: As a Desktop Engineer at (Insurance Brokerage Name), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, focusing on ensuring the reliability and functionality of our Microsoft tool stack and Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). This position is key in providing technical support and innovative solutions to enhance employee productivity and safeguard our data within the fast-paced environment of insurance brokerage. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain desktop environments using Microsoft Operating Systems and Office 365 applications. - Manage and troubleshoot Citrix VDI sessions and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. - Deploy and support Windows 11 golden images across both Mac and Windows platforms. - Utilize Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Autopilot for streamlined device provisioning, mobile device, and application management to ensure endpoint security compliance and configuration management. - Assist in the deployment of updates and patches for software and systems, utilizing Microsoft SCCM and other tools. - Provide technical support for both on-site and remote employees, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networking. - Collaborate with IT security teams to implement security measures that protect company data and comply with industry regulations. - Document IT processes and maintain logs of system performance and issues. - Conduct regular system audits and recommend improvements to increase efficiency. - Train staff on new technologies and IT practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience with Microsoft tool stack, including Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Intune, and Autopilot. - Strong experience in managing and configuring Citrix VDI environments and supporting Windows 11 golden images on both Mac and Windows platforms. - Familiarity with networking protocols, firewalls, and VPN technologies. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications in Microsoft, Citrix, or related fields are highly desirable. - Experience in an IT role within the insurance industry or financial services.
