Sony Pictures Entertainment Intern, Green Measure, ESG Compliance - Summer 2024 in Culver City, California

This Summer Internship is from May/June through August 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The ESG Compliance team, in partnership with the broader Green Measure Project, is responsible for providing accurate, auditable and timely Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) external reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accuracy of database that catalogs all leases—including stages, offices, warehouses— used by domestic television and motion picture productions

  • Identify recommendations for process improvements around Greenhouse Gas Scope 1 & 2 production facility data collection

  • Support process documentation for current and future state ESG reporting procedures

  • Document meeting participation, outcomes and action items

  • Organize team building events

  • Conduct ad hoc support or research efforts as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Rising undergraduate junior or senior

  • Exceptional attention to detail and focus on high-quality standards

  • Demonstrated examples of leadership

  • Strong research and written communication skills

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or comparable tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with or passion for ESG subject matter is a plus. This could include: climate change and carbon emissions; diversity, equity and inclusion; respect for human rights; community engagement; corporate governance and ethics
