POSITION PROFILE

The Dates Weiser Sales Representative drives sales through product knowledge of the conference furniture market, design details and technology integration in order to provide early design development support and engage factory support services for customer satisfaction. In representing Dates Weiser, you will possess the ability to present, sell, network, and understand furniture design/details, materials (wood, metals, glass, stone, resins, etc), and read drawings and furniture specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively communicate all the important details to the clients as well as to the customer service team, marketing and sales management to put forth relevant optimal presentations

  • Gain familiarity with Dates Weiser’s project capabilities and Knoll’s design heritage and company’s reputation of innovative products

  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts that purchase and/or specify furniture products

  • Research and develop opportunities from lead sources within territory

  • Develop and execute successful sales presentations

  • Successfully manage and overcome customer objections

  • Successfully manage field service operations pursuant to territory

  • Enter and maintain all customer interaction in salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead management and forecasting

  • Maintain an appropriate level of sales activity at all times by conducting a minimum number of sales appointments per week as designated by manager

  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales

Required Experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred

  • Requires three to five years selling experience in territory

  • Exhibits a work style that is high energy, highly influential, and possesses an ability to effectively close sales opportunities

  • Proven track record achieving measurable sales goals and willing to accept responsibility for results

  • Able to meet and develop a customer relationship from a simple project lead or introduction via team member or other lead source

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, managers, outside and internal contacts

  • Ability to work with sales reps from the other Knoll divisions, and be a contributor to the established team in the territory

  • Positive and energetic personality

  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with the highest level of integrity

  • Ability and motivation to learn the technical details
