About the role

Senior Risk,&Controls Specialist role is to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance through global Control Assurance and Risk Management processes. Main responsibilities of the role are:

  • To support the Control & Audit compliance agenda within Diageo Business Shared Services

  • To support the Management in delivering best-in-class control environment, increase control and compliance awareness and coordinate / ensure smooth delivery of internal control procedures.

  • Provide management support during internal (GAR) and external audit (PWC)

The overall purpose of the role to provide control oversight and SOX governance over Diageo’s business shared services and support the Management in delivering best-in-class control environment, increase control and compliance awareness and coordinate / ensure smooth delivery of internal control procedures.

In addition, provide support to DBS Compliance and Ethics lead in delivering regional C&E activities.

What you'll bring

  • Experience of working with SOX

  • Good understanding of Audit lifecycle from planning to reporting and closure of recommendations

  • Perform Design Assessment and effectiveness testing of controls in a manner that reflects the highest professional standards.

  • Timely and effective communication of the key messages/outcomes/issues to all stakeholder levels

  • Support and track , monitor and validate completion of audit observations and control deficiency remediation. Actively participate and add value in assessing management response and remediation actions for impacted controls.

  • Review and query addressal of the team members

  • "Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to present and interact effectively with all levels of management".

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadliness in line with CARM guidance. Support team members to meet the deadlines

  • Prior experience with BIG 4 will be an added advantage

  • Preferred working experience with major ERPs

  • Proficient in MS Applications (MS word, MS Excel, PPT, VISIO)

  • Exposure to some of the following areas could be an advantage:

  • 1/Process improvement, 2/project management, 3/risk assessment, 4/IFRS,5/ SAP

  • Prilim LEAN/Six Sigma knowledge

  • Draw insights from the analytics

  • Middle Mgt stakeholder engagement skill

  • Good knowledge of SAP

  • Solutioning mindset
