Your Impact

Royce Geois seeking a DoD AccountManagerto assist the organization with developing and capturing DoD Intelligence related business opportunities. The candidate will work in collaboration with the CGO, BD team, and Operations Managers to grow a business opportunity pipeline, capture, and support proposal development and reviews. They will work to increase the probability of winning pursuits by cultivating and sustaining exceptional customer relations with current and future customers across the DoD. Business growth opportunities will primarily focus on Defense Intelligence business pipelines and opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive jobexperienceand knowledge across a variety of Air Force, Army, Navy, and or Space customers, business partners and mission areas., including:

  • Past jobexperience(government or commercial) with the DoD intelligence functions.
  • Demonstrated skills and aptitudes in business development and customer relations.Experiencewith the Intelligence Lifecycle (TCPED) aligned to services, programs and capabilities across multiple customers is desired.
  • This individual will leverage existing customer and business relationships and personal networks to identify and assess business growth opportunities that lead to improved business development metrics and financial results including those related to book-to-bill, revenue, and operating margin.
  • The candidate will be expected to identify gaps and emerging requirements, perform market and economic analysis, conduct business intelligence and competitive assessments, design and execute formal capture plans and, finally, to monitor and communicate activities and capabilities of business competitors and potential partners.
  • Candidates will work collaboratively withRoyce Geoleadership to identify and build consensus on specific business pursuits, while also assisting in the development of an Account Plan to ensure mission awareness, market assessments and analysis, customer engagement, partnership and teaming, communications and marketing strategies.
  • The ideal candidate has the personal attributes, skills, acumen and maturity to exercise sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies and will be able to regularly interact at all levels of customer organizations.
  • Characteristics necessary for success include: business and technical vision; capture and sales, strategic thinking;analytical presentation and problem solving skills; the ability to gain internal support; an the ability to establish and maintain a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand our business and technology stack through proposal reviews and leadership engagement.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and close on existing opportunities.
  • Perform market research to qualify new business opportunities, including analysis of customer budget, capabilities required, customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, and incumbent strengths and weaknesses.
  • Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
  • Develop, organize, and execute significant cross organizational capture activities, including buildingLeidosand industry teams, assess win probability, and execute customer call plans to shape acquisitions in order win business with new and existing customers.
  • Serve as the lead for DoD customer engagement and call plan development, coordination, and execution; providing detailed reports including follow up activities during call plan execution.
  • Participate as needed in business planning and strategy activities, periodic pipeline reviews, operating plan development, bid agenda development, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme and discriminator workshops and proposal reviews.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish business objectives and customer engagement plans.
  • Support overall strategic planning and linking pursuits/capture activities that support the quarterly business development metrics for awards, submits, and pipeline.
  • Interact routinely with all levels of management, functional and technical staff, and with customers, including to follow through and provide feedback on key matters, issues and concerns.
  • Brief capture status at specified gate reviews during the capture process.
  • Support proposal and whitepaper development
  • Conduct after action reviews for all business opportunity capture participants to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of andexperienceworking with and participating in local community affairs including: local area support organizations, Academia, industry and business groups/forums and customer-sponsored events and activities.

Required Skills

  • Requires anactive TSClearance.

Bachelorsdegreeor equivalent with 15+ years of intelligence aligned business and/or missionexperience(additionalexperience, training oreducationmay be considered).

Candidate must be located in the Northern Virginia area and open to travel as required, estimated at up to 20-50% per month.

The candidate must have a proven track record of successful customer engagement, business development, program and capture management across multiple customer organizations mission areas.
